Hi folks, this could be of interest to all (to Rapid Response folks too)
The American Constitutional Society, Latino Law Students Association, and National Lawyers Guild are proud to present Know Your Rights: What To Do If You're Stopped by Police, ICE, or Border Patrol here at the law school on November 14, 2018 at 12:30pm in G90. This event is open to the public and will be presented by our own faculty, Professor Jaclyn Kelley-Widmer and Professor Rachel Goldberg, and CLS distinguished practitioner in residence Joey Mogul.
This practical workshop aims to empower both documented and undocumented people, as well as people of color, by informing them of their rights when interacting with police or immigration officials. Our panelists will speak to a range of topics, including your constitutional rights, best practices when engaging with government agents both on and off Cornell's campus, and remedies following police interaction. Our speakers will also answer audience questions, which you can submit beforehand through the Google Form below by November 6 at 10:00 p.m.
Thank you very much for your attention and I hope to see you all there. Stay informed!
