Climates of Change: A Living Newspaper
Created in the style of a Living Newspaper, a theatrical form popularized during the Federal Theatre Project of the 1930s, Climates of Change was created from stories told by various communities throughout Tompkins County about global warming: the controversies, the science, the economic impacts, and the different ways this crisis affects diverse populations.
Created in collaboration with the community and developed by students of the Department of Performing and Media Arts’ Theatre and Social Change class, co-taught by Sara L. Warner and Godfrey L. Simmons, Jr., along with Sarah K. Chalmers of Civic Ensemble and Toby Ault of CALS, and Teaching Assistant Caitlin Kane.
This project is funded by a grant from Engaged Cornell
Climates of Change is directed by Sarah K. Chalmers, Caitlin Kane, and Godfrey L. Simmons, Jr.
